Uncommon Designs Make Wonderful Gifts

There are so many reasons to love Tikanchay jewelry.  The artisan stories, the native materials that carry cultural significance, the metaphysical properties of the semi-precious stones, the incredible colors and the quality of the silver…and for me, the uncommon designs.  The imagination of these artisans is a constant joy to me as I shop for our collections.  And often I ask myself how can it be that three years after beginning this business, they continue to surprise me with innovative interpretations.  These handcrafted earrings and pendant are one of my favorite selections from our Classic Collection.  Sonia and her family specialize in this contrasting polished silver and burnt silver look and this design is especially elegant.  To top it off my partner Meg, in a stroke of inspiration of her own, paired the pendant with a handcrafted silver chain that has small silver applications at regular intervals on the chain.  It is such a special chain that looks like it was made for just this pendant and you can see it on our website.
